Accessibility
We want every rider to be able to use this site. Here is where we stand and how to tell us when something does not work.
Last updated October 27, 2026
Apex Georgia wants every rider to be able to read this site, register for a track day, and sign their documents, whatever device or assistive technology they use. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
What we have done
- Every page has a "Skip to content" link as its first tab stop, a single main heading, and a logical heading order.
- Everything works with a keyboard alone, and the element with focus always has a visible red outline.
- Images carry text descriptions. Decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Every form field has a label, required fields are marked, and errors are described in text next to the form.
- Text and controls meet the AA contrast ratio on our black background.
- Text can be resized to 200% and pages reflow on a phone without sideways scrolling.
- Nothing plays, flashes, or moves on its own. The few animations we use stop when your system asks for reduced motion.
- The track day documents are available as readable web pages on the Waivers & docs page, not only as images or PDFs.
Signing documents
Signing a waiver on this site means drawing your signature with a finger, stylus, or mouse, and typing your name. If drawing a signature is not possible for you, email us before the event and we will arrange another way to sign at no cost, such as a paper copy signed at the track or a signature made with assistance. The blank printable waivers are on the documents page once you are signed in.
Known limitations
- The PDFs we generate (schedule, arrival information, and blank waivers) are plain text documents that are not tagged for screen readers. The same content is on the Waivers & docs page as regular web pages.
- The track day flyer is an image. Every fact on it also appears as text on the track days page.
- Our Discord server, Instagram, and Facebook pages are run on those companies' platforms and we cannot change how accessible they are.
Technical details
The site is built with standard HTML, CSS, and a small amount of JavaScript. It is tested in current versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Edge on phones, tablets, and desktops. It does not require any plug-ins.
